Equipment

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Shrimp Ceviche
  1. Begin by placing the chopped shrimp into a 9x13 inch pan. Pour the lime juice over the shrimp, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour. After this initial marinating period, transfer the shrimp to the refrigerator for an additional 1-2 hours.
  2. While the shrimp is marinating, chop your fresh vegetables. Dice the tomatoes, cucumber, onion (soak it in water first if desired), and jalapeno. Store the chopped ingredients in the refrigerator.
  3. Once your shrimp is beautifully marinated, remove it from the refrigerator and gently drain any excess lime juice. In a large mixing bowl, combine the marinated shrimp with the prepared vegetables and fold everything together gently.
  4. Spoon the mixture onto a serving platter and enjoy it with tortilla chips or tostada shells. Consider adding diced or mashed avocado on top.
