- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and honey. Then mix in milk and eggs.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Fold in the corn kernels, and optional cheddar cheese if desired.
- Pour the corn mixture into the prepared casserole dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown and firm in the center.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving, garnishing with fresh parsley if desired.
