Instructions for Halloween Jello Shots
  1. Prepare the Gelatin Base: Pour 1 cup of water into a small saucepan. Stir in 2 packets of unflavored gelatin and gently heat the mixture over low temperature, stirring occasionally. Watch for the gelatin to dissolve completely, then remove from heat and add half of the sweetened condensed milk.
  2. Mix in the Vodka: Pour in the ⅔ cup of vanilla vodka and mix well. Cover the pan and set aside half of it.
  3. Assemble the First Layer: Divide the creamy gelatin mixture into shot glasses, filling each one about one-third full. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm.
  4. Prepare the Orange Layer: In another saucepan, pour 1 cup of water and add the remaining packet of unflavored gelatin. Heat and stir until fully dissolved. Stir in the orange Jell-O powder until dissolved.
  5. Combine with Orange Juice: Add the fresh orange juice to the orange gelatin mixture. Carefully pour this layer over the chilled white shots in each glass. Return to the refrigerator for about an hour.
  6. Create the Final Layer: Add a few drops of yellow food coloring to the remaining creamy mixture. Pour this layer over the orange layer in each shot glass.
  7. Chill and Garnish: Place the filled shot glasses back into the refrigerator for 2 hours until set. Garnish each with candy corn.
