Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Pastry Brush

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you and scoop about 2 tablespoons of filling into the center.
  4. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly, sealing the top edge with water.
  5. Wrap a strip of bacon around each egg roll, securing the ends underneath to keep the filling contained.
  6. Brush each bacon-wrapped egg roll with vegetable oil and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the wrappers are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
