Cooking Steps
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic for about 5-7 minutes.
- Layer diced potatoes evenly at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Add sliced carrots over the layer of potatoes.
- Distribute the cut green beans over the carrots.
- Spoon the browned beef mixture on top of the vegetables.
- Pour the can of diced tomatoes over the layered ingredients.
- Add the drained and rinsed kidney beans evenly over the mixture.
- Mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, thyme, oregano, and bay leaf in a separate bowl.
- Pour the seasoned broth over all ingredients in the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Remove the bay leaf before serving, stir gently to combine flavors, and serve hot.
