  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil High-quality for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Adds richness
  • 3 cloves Garlic Fresh, minced
  • 0.5 cup Chicken broth Gluten-free if needed
  • 1 cup Heavy cream For creamy texture
  • 1 whole Lemon Both zest and juice required
  • 2 tablespoons Capers Briny flavor
For Garnish
  • 0.25 cup Fresh parsley Chopped

Method
 

Steps
  1. Heat the skillet by adding 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Season 4 salmon fillets with salt and black pepper; sear skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until golden.
  3. Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté 3 cloves of minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Deglaze with ½ cup of chicken broth, scraping the skillet to mix in flavors; simmer for about 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream, the zest and juice of 1 lemon, and 2 tablespoons of capers, simmer to thicken for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Return the salmon to the skillet and spoon sauce over it; cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve warm.
