- Open the can of refrigerated crescent rolls and carefully unroll the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Place the wheel of Brie cheese right in the center of the crescent ring.
- Spread the cranberry sauce generously over the Brie cheese.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans or walnuts evenly over the cranberry sauce if using.
- Fold the triangles of crescent dough over the filling and tuck the tips underneath to secure.
- Whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash, and brush it over the crescent dough.
