Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Open the can of refrigerated crescent rolls and carefully unroll the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Place the wheel of Brie cheese right in the center of the crescent ring.
  4. Spread the cranberry sauce generously over the Brie cheese.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped pecans or walnuts evenly over the cranberry sauce if using.
  6. Fold the triangles of crescent dough over the filling and tuck the tips underneath to secure.
  7. Whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash, and brush it over the crescent dough.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme before serving.
