For the Pastry
  • 2 sheets Puff pastry sheets thawed
For the Finishing Touches
  • 1 large Egg for egg wash
  • sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning optional

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets to an even thickness.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Take a strip of puff pastry and place about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture at one end, fold, and twist.
  5. Transfer the twists to the prepared baking sheet seam-side down.
  6. Brush each twist with the egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving warm.
