  3. Sear the seasoned pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until nicely browned and cooked through.
  4. Combine ½ cup of brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce in a small bowl, stirring until well mixed.
  5. Pour the brown sugar sauce evenly over the pork chops in the skillet and let it coat them thoroughly.
  6. Reduce heat to medium, and continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
