  6. If too runny, simmer a bit longer until thickened to your preference.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in crushed lavender buds.
  8. Ladle into sterilized jars, seal tightly, and process in boiling water for 10 minutes if storing long-term.
  9. For immediate use, allow to cool and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
