Step-by-Step Instructions for Chili Verde and Spanish Rice
  1. Season the pork with salt, black pepper, cumin, oregano, and cayenne pepper.
  2. In a pot, heat oil and brown the seasoned pork for about 10 minutes.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until onions are translucent.
  4. Stir in tomatillos, pork broth, and tomato paste, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Cover and let the chili simmer for approximately 1 hour.
