Ingredients
  

For the Rice Krispie Base
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons butter
For the Green Coating
  • 2 cups green candy melts can be substituted with green chocolate candy
For the Decorations
  • 1 tube black decorating gel
  • 1 cup candy eyes
  • 1 cup pretzel pieces
Optional Garnish
  • 1 cup sprinkles

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large pot over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add 4 cups of mini marshmallows, stirring continuously until completely melted.
  2. Once combined, remove from heat and fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispies until well coated. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and press down firmly.
  3. Allow it to cool for about 30 minutes, until set.
  4. Melt 2 cups of green candy melts in the microwave, heating in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  5. Once cooled slightly, cut the Rice Krispie base into bars and dip each into the melted green candy.
  6. Place the coated bars on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let them sit for about 10-15 minutes until the coating hardens.
  7. Use black decorating gel to create Frankenstein’s facial features and add candy eyes on top for effect.
  8. Sprinkle pretzel pieces or colorful sprinkles on top before letting the decorations set for about 5 minutes.
