Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut into 4-inch squares.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of cream cheese filling onto the center of each pastry square. Top with strawberry slices.
- Fold the corners of each pastry over the filling to form a package shape and pinch the edges closed.
- Beat the egg and brush the tops of the assembled danishes with the egg wash.
- Bake on a lined baking sheet for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
