- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the baking dish with melted butter.
- Slice the French bread into 1-inch thick pieces and arrange them in the baking dish.
- Slice the bananas into thick rounds and tuck them between the bread slices.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the custard evenly over the bread and bananas and press down gently.
- Cover with aluminum foil and chill in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 6 hours.
