  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese melts beautifully

  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian herbs adds flavor
  • ½ teaspoon Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil for sautéing

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Stir in the drained diced tomatoes, dried Italian herbs, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Layer half of the sliced zucchini in the greased baking dish, top with half of the turkey mixture, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
