- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Combine melted unsalted butter with granulated and brown sugar in a large bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking after each, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips evenly.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set, but center is slightly underbaked.
- Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
