Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even ½-inch thickness. Season generously with salt and fresh ground black pepper.
  2. Arrange three shallow dishes for a well-organized breading process: one for seasoned flour, another for whisked eggs mixed with milk, and a final dish for the breadcrumb mixture combined with cheese and pepper.
  3. Dip each seasoned chicken breast first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat. Carefully add the breaded chicken and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Transfer the chicken to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any residual oil.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (176°C).
  7. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of your baking dish. Place the crispy chicken on top, add more sauce, sprinkle with fresh basil, and finish with provolone cheese.
  8. Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
