Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Chai Tea Latte
  1. In a medium saucepan, pour in 2 cups of water and bring it to a rolling boil over high heat.
  2. Once the water is boiling, stir in 2 tablespoons of black tea along with 1 tablespoon of grated ginger, 1 teaspoon of crushed cardamom, and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon. Reduce the heat to low and allow the mixture to simmer gently for approximately 10 minutes.
  3. After simmering, carefully strain the chai mixture into a separate container using a fine mesh sieve to remove all the tea leaves and spice remnants.
  4. In the same saucepan, pour in 1 cup of milk (or your preferred non-dairy alternative) and heat it over medium heat, stirring gently.
  5. Once the milk is steaming, reintroduce the strained chai tea mixture back into the saucepan and stir well. Add your desired sweetener to taste and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract if desired.
  6. Whisk vigorously to create a delightful, foamy texture.
  7. Carefully pour your frothy Chai Tea Latte into your favorite mug and enjoy.
