Step-by-Step Instructions for Chai Tea Latte
- In a medium saucepan, pour in 2 cups of water and bring it to a rolling boil over high heat.
- Once the water is boiling, stir in 2 tablespoons of black tea along with 1 tablespoon of grated ginger, 1 teaspoon of crushed cardamom, and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon. Reduce the heat to low and allow the mixture to simmer gently for approximately 10 minutes.
- After simmering, carefully strain the chai mixture into a separate container using a fine mesh sieve to remove all the tea leaves and spice remnants.
- In the same saucepan, pour in 1 cup of milk (or your preferred non-dairy alternative) and heat it over medium heat, stirring gently.
- Once the milk is steaming, reintroduce the strained chai tea mixture back into the saucepan and stir well. Add your desired sweetener to taste and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract if desired.
- Whisk vigorously to create a delightful, foamy texture.
- Carefully pour your frothy Chai Tea Latte into your favorite mug and enjoy.
