- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the Italian sausage and lean ground beef, cooking until browned—about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions until al dente, typically around 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Fold the cooked rigatoni into the skillet with the meat sauce, then mix in the cheese mixture.
